Customers cited in post-midnight brawl at Denny’s in Redlands
June 19, 2012You can bet it wasn’t the type of “grand slam” Denny’s is used to.
Redlands police officers cited a half-dozen people for assault after a fight broke out among customers at a downtown Denny’s very early Sunday morning, said Carl Baker of the Redlands Police Department.
Another customer shot video of the post-midnight melee, which went viral. It shows several women fighting in cocktail attire, throwing punches and dishes throughout the restaurant.
Employees called police as the brawl broke out, Baker said, but the fight was over by the time officers arrived. No major injuries were reported.
“It’s not a regular occurrence,” Baker said. “It’s just that somebody had a cellphone camera.”
